Q: What is Linguapon in terms of other language learning apps?
Linguapon does not offer guided courses or speaking practice like many other apps out there. Linguapon brings together elements of SRS (spaced repetition system akin to tools like Anki) with gamified learning elements similar to Clozemaster. What sets Linguapon apart is its foundation being built on AI to make the overall experience more tailored and less repetitive. Plus, this is the only place where you can collect Linguapon. :D
Q: I am an absolute beginner at the language. Can I use Linguapon?
Linguapon offers pre-made vocabulary lists that are beginner-friendly. However, Linguapon is not intended to teach the core fundamentals. We recommend absolute beginners to familiarise themselves on the target language first - there are plenty of other tools, apps and tutorials that does this well.
Q: How many Linguapon are there to collect?
Things are better kept a secret. Really though, the number of collectable Linguapon will keep going up and up...
Q: When does the beta period end and when can we expect Linguapon to fully launch?
There is no definitive date. We greatly appreciate interested users and their invaluable feedback to help us gauge where we are at.
Q: Will anything be retained i.e. Linguapon after beta period ends?
(Updated 19-March) Accounts will NOT be wiped before the full launch. All account data, including saved translations and collected Linguapon will be kept.
